GTI Accepted as a Member of the Association of Shareware Professionals
Glasgow, Scotland
- 15 May 1996 Graham Technology & Information, Ltd.
(GTI) today announced that GTI has been accepted as a member of the Association
of Shareware Professionals (ASP). The ASP is an international trade organization
representing authors, publishers, vendors, and on-line distributors of
shareware, which are software products that consumers can "try before
they buy."
"Joining the ASP made good business sense
for GTI, given the enormous amount of shareware available to personal
computer users. The ASP logo is the equivalent of the Good Housekeeping
Seal of Approval for shareware. It tells consumers that our programs have
been thoroughly tested, and come with complete documentation and technical
support. These assurances are critical for identifying the newest, feature-rich
software programs available as shareware," Stephen Graham (Managing Director
of GTI) said.
About The ASP
The ASP promotes the use of shareware as a
marketing method for computer software and assists its members with marketing
information and distribution. The organization is located at 545 Grover
Road, Muskegon, MI 49442-9427 (616) 788-5131 phone, (616) 788-2765 fax.
The ASP also operates a home page on the World Wide Web (http://www.asp-shareware.org)
and forums on CompuServe (GO ASPFORUM) and Microsoft Network (GO ASP).
